Christmas At Our House By Rev.Dr. Leslie Mary Trombly Copyright(c)2007
Christmas at our house is not like everyone else’s. Christmas at our house may have the decorations and lights; the brightly lit Christmas tree with presents beautifully wrapped beneath it’s branches, but Christmas at our house is very special to us. It is the Lord’s Birthday and the house is decorated and dressed with Love in honor for His special day. He is foremost in our hearts and minds during this special time of year.
We select a special gift just for Him and have a special birthday cake with His name on it. We sing Happy Birthday to Him and ask Him to spend the day with us and participate in His birthday dinner. This is His day and His season. It isn’t about us to how many presents we can give to one another or who can out do who in the gift department.
With all the commercialism and methods to evade the real purpose and meaning of Christmas; it seems as though they have succeeded even with their outrageous laws. Now it is against the law to have a Nativity or the Ten Commandments displayed openly in public. The bureaucratic idiots and the heathens of this world have succeeded in making it against the law to even speak the name of God or pray in Public, let alone the schools.
Christmas and all year long, we ignore these laws? and continue to stand steadfast in the Lord and remember His birth, His death and His resurrection, with a tinge of sadness that God had to resort to this to save us from sin; but rejoice in the Glory of the Lord for his complete willingness to do as Hs father asked him to do by coming to earth in human form and becoming the sacrificial lamb for the sins of mankind. If it were not for that we would all be condemned to the everlasting lake of fire.
Christmas at our house is one of Joy and celebration for his birth and loving sacrifice for us, who had no right to expect such love and mercy from the creator of all things and His beloved son. This is HIS DAY. Why do you think it has always been called CHRISTmas? That is until the heathens of the world got the law to wipe out Christmas and call it a “Holiday”. BAH HUMBUG! I am going to keep it what it really is ? CHRISTMAS - CHRIST?S BIRTHDAY - and if the world doesn’t like it...to bad!
I refuse to let this world bury My Lord and Savior under some mound of dirt or a boulder of laws or the loud yelling and whining of the heathenistic and rebellious against God. No Sireeeeee Bob! Jesus was born and they can’t deny that or bury it. He was crucified for us and they buried Him; but not for long because on the third day He arose from the dead and fulfilled the promise of God for redemption of sin and life everlasting with Him. Christmas at our house is Christ and celebrating His birthday with Him and nothing else in this world matters!
